Your guide to organizing your bridal party's attire.

I have always been a fan of expressing my personality through the clothes I wear, especially on my wedding day. My journey to find the perfect dress involved exploring various styles, designs, and lengths. Through that process, I came to the realization that I wanted the women standing beside me to experience the same sense of joy and confidence in their dress.

However, mismatched dresses can be difficult to coordinate. It's not as simple as picking out a color and style(s) -- it takes some heavy research and intentionality.

Gather Inspiration

I simply created a Google Document where I uploaded the vision✨ based on the rest of the wedding aesthetic and highlighted the overall look I wanted to accomplish:

Set the Tone

Next, I assigned each girl roughly 6 dresses that embodied the style I would like them to wear. I also left the conversation open to see if they wanted to switch colors/styles with someone to give them a bit more freedom in choosing:

I started with assignments because of the order the girls would be standing at the altar. I also included the prices of different dresses to fit each of their budgets (so no one felt like they had to break the bank!).

SHOP!

Next, the bridesmaids took to the internet and some took to the malls to find the perfect dress. Even though each of them sent me the dress they were planning to buy, I had no idea what everyone would look like in person so I made a mock up to help get an idea:

Finally, when all was said and done the girls looked AMAZING 😍 and contributed to the theme of the wedding in significant ways.
